Our team comprises of highly accomplished instructors, school coordinators, child psychologists, lecturers and teaching assistants. School coordinators help us identify students for CTM programs, tune our programs with standard school requirements; monitor progress and trouble shoot as needed. We work closely with and benefit greatly from the support of school directors, parents and many volunteers. They all are invaluable to the success of CTM Online students.
Doc. RNDr. Ing. Jana Kalová, PhD. graduated from Mathematical Engineering at the Faculty of Applied Sciences of the University of West Bohemia, the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at the Pedagogical Faculty of the University of South Bohemia and received a PhD in Thermo-mechanics and Fluid Mechanics from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of West Bohemia. She is a supervisor and an instructor of CTM Online math and science courses. Also, she is leading training and mentoring of other CTM Online instructors of math and science courses.
Martin Štefl graduated from the Department of Anglophone Literatures & Cultures at Charles University in Prague, where he studied English Philology and Philosophy. Currently, Martin works at the School of Business of the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague where he teaches courses in English, focusing on ESP and skills training, in particular on critical thinking, and humanities. Besides his work as a translator, Martin is professionally interested in philosophy of business, ethics, and philosophy of technology and researches into critical thinking and its applications in ELT.
Mgr. Katarina Rebrošová graduated with a MS degree in experimental biology with focus on microbiology and molecular biotechnology from the Faculty of Science, Masaryk University in Brno. She is pursuing a doctoral degree in Medical Microbiology and Immunology at the Medical Faculty of Masaryk University. She is a CTM Online instructor of AP Biology, Comprehensive Science and Anatomy and Physiology.
Mgr. Tereza Hornová is a graduate with MA degree in the English Language and Literature - Foundations of Social Sciences from the Pedagogical Faculty of Charles University in Prague. Since 2016, she has been with CTM Online.
Blanka Ferencová graduated with master degree in Parasitology from the Faculty of Science of Charles University. She has been working with children for many years as an instructor of summer camps. Blanka performs as the CTM Online instructor of Science courses.
Dr. Iva Kolářová is a parasitologist holding a lecturer position in the Department of Parasitology at Charles University in Prague. In 2007 she was awarded with Fulbright Scholarship as visiting scholar at National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIH, USA). Since 2013, Iva Kolářová is the CTM Online instructor for the AP Biology course.
RNDr. Helena Kommová is a professor of mathematics at Johannes Kepler Gymnasium in Prague. Since 2013 he has been with CTM Online teaching math courses AP Calculus AB and BC.
Radek Šabatka, B.A. is a graduate of New York University Shanghai. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Economy with a focus on the People's Republic of China's global investments in the Global South. Since 2023, he has been studying for a master’s degree in international relations at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Radek has worked at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C., and at the Center for Global China, where he currently serves as a research assistant. At CTM, Radek is an instructor of AP Comparative Politics.
Anička Jambrichová is currently studying general medicine at the Medical Faculty of Masaryk University. In the future, she plans to specialize in surgery, primarily orthopedics/traumatology. She speaks Spanish and English fluently and has more than six years of experience in teaching languages - Spanish, English - as well as subjects such as anatomy and physiology. In her free time, she enjoys traveling or engaging in sports.
Daniel Honeš earned his BA degree in Egyptology and General Linguistics and an MA degree (Hons.) in Phonetics from the Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic. Additionally, he received supplementary education in Pedagogy at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, Czech Republic. During his studies, he focused primarily on ancient languages, writing systems, and the ancient concept of language and its production and perception. Daniel is the author of Egyptology Online, a useful resource for further studies of various intriguing aspects of Egyptian pharaonic history, material culture and archaeology.
Michal Hustaty, MFA, an instructor of AP Art History for CTM, studied Fine Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, Slovakia. He attended two APSI programs in the US, one at Manhattan College in NYC and the other at the School of the Art Institute in Chicago. Currently, he is a teacher at the international boarding school, LEAF Academy. In addition to educating young people, he engages in his own art practice, curates art exhibitions, creates workshops, and develops various art programs, primarily for NGOs. Michal also writes articles about art. He lives and works between Luxembourg and Slovakia. Last, but not least, he enjoys a good specialty coffee right after visiting an art museum.
Marcela Peska has her Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. She has extensive experience teaching at primary and secondary schools in the Czech Republic, South Africa and Great Britain. She has joined the CTM team where she guides students in AP Human Geography.
Mgr. Jakub Januška, PhD. is a researcher and a clinical professional in the area of clinical psychology and psychiatry. During his studies at Comenius University in Bratislava, he focused on the everyday aspects of paranoia and social functioning in people with severe mental illnesses. At CTM, he is an online course instructor for AP Psychology.
Emily Gates Prucha is TEFL-certified, native English speaker with a degree in English Language & Literature from Duke University, a top-ranked US university. In addition to teaching English in Prague for 20 years, Emily has brought her linguistic skills to local Prague media outlets, such as Expats.cz, The Prague Daily Monitor, and Prague.TV, making complicated topics, such as Czech culture, language, and education, accessible for thousands of English-language readers. For CTM, she teaches Literature for Curious Minds. She is a storyteller who has a knack for generating enthusiasm and engagement in her English lessons.
Bc. Jaroslav Körner earned his Bachelor's degree in Information Technology with a specialization in Intelligent Systems from the Technical University of Liberec. Currently, he is pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Systems. In his free time he enjoys climbing, e-sports and programming. He is an instructor of the Foundations of Programming course focusing on Python.

Nela Sedláčková is a Master's student in Physics at the University of St Andrews in Scotland and a graduate of Jiří z Poděbrad Grammar School. She is a scholarship holder of The Kellner Family Foundation and has been tutoring mathematics and physics for several years. In the summer of 2022, she completed an internship at the Helmholtz- Centrum Dresden Rossendorf in Germany researching X-ray spectroscopy as a diagnostic for laser ion acceleration. During high school, she completed an Open Science CAS internship in liquid crystal research. Her passion is energy and nuclear fusion energy.
Mgr. Jaroslav Kala graduated with an MA degree from the University of South Bohemia in Mathematics and Physics. He teaches mathematics and physics at a high school in České Budějovice. He is CTM Online instructor of mathematics and science courses since 2013.
My name is Lenka Hromadkova. I studied Chemistry and Biology during my bachelor’s degree and Analysis of Biological Materials within my master’s degree at University of Pardubice. In 2018, I finished my doctoral degree in Animal Physiology at Charles University in Prague with focus on immunochemistry and cell biology in neuroscience. During my PhD studies, I received several fellowships, which allowed me to work on projects at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm (Sweden). Currently, I live in Cleveland (Ohio, US) and work as a postdoc at Case Western Reserve University on a project regarding the basic mechanisms of misfolded proteins spreading in Alzheimer’s disease.
Ing. Jana Vitvarová, PhD, graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Žilina in Slovakia. She gained professional and foreign experience in companies and scientific research institutions in France, Ireland and Austria. He works at the Faculty of Mechatronics, Informatics and Interdisciplinary Studies at the Technical University of Liberec. Since 2015, she has been CTM Online instructor of information technology courses.
Mgr. Daniel Lessner graduated with a MS degree in Artificial Intelligence from Charles University in Prague, where he is now pursuing a PhD in computer science didactics. He is a developer, author and supervisor of CTM Online IT courses. He is an instructor of AP Computer Science A and AP Computer Science Principles and leads instructors of other IT courses.
Pavlína Cicková PhD. graduated from the Faculty of Science at Masaryk University in Brno, where she studied Molecular Biology and Genetics for her Bachelor's degree and Chemoinformatics and Bioinformatics for her Master's degree. She then earned her PhD at the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Brno University of Technology. Currently, Pavlína works as Scientific Communication Manager in the field of medical affairs and at CTM she is a lecturer of the Honors Biology course.
Ing. Iveta Knapíková is a biomedical engineer, who graduated at Technical University of Ostrava. As an exchange student she did part of her master at University of Applied Sciences in Luebeck (Germany). In her free time she enjoys sport and working with children. She has been with CTM online since 2022.
Adam Knirsch is studying Medicinal and Biological Chemistry at the University of Nottingham. He spent his entire childhood growing up in Scouting, where he has remained ever since and continues to serve as a leader for the fourth year. In addition, he enjoys playing the piano and organ. During the summer he usually explores Europe, either on foot or by hitchhiking.
Bruno Zalubil graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a degree in English and he has been writing professionally – for newspapers, magazines, horse race tracks, local governments, charity organizations, and software companies – for more than three decades. He provides consulting services to start-up technology companies; proofreads academic papers; and writes the “Bruno in Brno” column for BrnoDaliy.com and the “Through Brno” blog for the Brno Expats Centre. He teaches writing courses for CTM, including the STEM courses, Creative Writing courses, Writing Nonfiction Online and Journalism.
Olga Novikova has been a lecturer in economics in Higher School of Economics in Russia for five years. Now she is a Ph.D. student in Economics at CERGE-EI in Prague. In CTM, she is AP Macroeconomics and AP Microeconomics instructor.
Lucie Růžičková is a final-year Biochemistry student (specializing in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology) at Imperial College London and an alumna of the Novy PORG gymnasium. She completed two Open Science internships at the Czech Academy of Sciences, co-published papers and was presented The Little Czech Heads award for the development of a solid-state spectroscopy method for pharmaceutical analysis. She also worked as a clinical research assistant at Imperial College’s School of Public Health and is now collaborating with Marco Di Antonio’s epigenomics group at Imperial College’s Department of Chemistry. During high-school, she participated in Discovery Saturdays and completed CTM courses Life Science, Honors Algebra I & II, Honors Chemistry and AP Biology. Her undergraduate studies in the UK are generously supported by The Kellner Family Foundation.
Jana Sehnálková graduated from International Territorial Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University in Prague, where she is currently engaged at the Department of North American Studies. Her focus is on Chinese-American relations, American history, American political system, and American internal politics.
Pavel Kouba graduated with a MS degree in mathematics from the Faculty of Science at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. He teaches mathematics at SPŠ Dopravní in Prague. Since 2015 he is CTM instructor teaching CTM Online math courses.
Vojtěch Jindra studies Machine Intelligence at Aalborg University and works as a Machine Learning Engineer in a danish start-up called Aivero which focuses on applying methods of artificial intelligence on 3D data. He has been interested in the field of Computer Science ever since he was a kid and nowadays, he has turned his focus to popular topics like artificial intelligence, machine learning and big data. In his free time, he likes to travel, read, ride his bike and play squash and soccer.
Mgr. Lucia Klimková graduated from MFF UK in Prague. She teaches at Jan Neruda High School in Prague. Lucia helps students to deepen their logical thinking in various mathematical computations. She accepts new challanges with joy.
Ing. Michael Kala studied Geomatics at the Czech Technical University in Prague. He works as a researcher at the Geodetic Observatory Pecný under VÚGTK (Research Institute of Geodesy, Topography and Cartography, V.v.i.). It deals with the development of applications for the acquisition and processing of GNSS data.
Bc. Lukáš Hypša is currently studying computer science with a focus on machine learning at MFF UK, while also working as a Data science intern. He has been an active member of a hiking club for many years, where he assists in organizing and leading programs for children. He always liked to discover and try new things, and with the same excitement he likes to help and motivate others to their own learning and creativity.
Matěj Hladeček is a talented student of ITG Gymnázium with a passion for math and IT. He enjoys devoting his time to these subjects even outside of school by attending various competitions and olympiads like for example the Mathematical Olympiad, where he was a successful solver in 2024. He applies his programming skills as a junior frontend developer, but also for the creation of visualisations of math concepts for his YouTube channel. His interest are wide-ranging - from chess and games to history and music. He's a curious mind, who isn't afraid to try new things, try his limits and break own records.
Ondřej Pelánek is in his final year of MSci Biological Sciences degree at University College London, focusing on biological and chemical disciplines, from ancient biochemical evolution to ecology and environmentalism. He loves popularizing science, both through CTM activities and by organizing summer camps and public lectures. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors, pursuing wildlife photography, birdwatching, and traveling around the world.
Adam Boček is currently attending the Gymnázium Evolution Sázavská high school. His most beloved pass-time is self-education in fields like economics, business management, physics, and informatics. He is also an avid reader of the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, an admirer of orchestral music, a 3D printing enthusiast, and a hopeless historical fencer. He enjoys helping others learn the fields dearest to him. Although relatively short, his professional relationship with CTM Academy seems to be very promising.
Kristián Jacik studies information technology at the Faculty of Mechatronics, Informatics and Interdisciplinary Studies at the Technical University of Liberec. He has participated in several Children's University courses and leads a small computer science club at a local primary school. Since 2020 he has been working with CTM and is an instructor of online courses focused on computer science.
Aneta Zavadilova is a final-year student of the BSc Psychology programme at Sigmund Freud University in Vienna and also a graduate of the United World College (UWC) Atlantic in Wales, where she finished the International Baccalauréate (IB) diploma. During secondary school, she completed an online AP Chemistry course with CTM Academy and also participated in an internship Open Science under the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic (AVČR). Aneta has been working as a Teaching & Research Assistant at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) and as an instructor for the Psychology Basics course at CTM Academy.
Michala Krestová, PhD is a researcher at the National Institute of Mental Health, where she also has a dissertation focusing on neurodegenerative diseases, especially Alzheimer's disease. Since 2015, she has been with CTM Online teaching AP Chemistry courses.
Jasmína Švarcrová is a current third-year student of the bachelor’s programme Joint Honours History and Political Science at Trinity College Dublin in Ireland. She graduated from Open Gate grammar school, where she studied in the International Baccalaureate programme, and she also completed two courses with CTM – AP U.S. History and Creative Writing. Within CTM, Jasmína works as an instructor for the following online courses – World History, History of the British Isles, and Develop Your Study Skills. She likes to spend her free time with friends and family, tasting delicious food or visiting historical landmarks and cultural events.
I am a 3rd year student of Engineering at the University of Cambridge and an alumni of the 8-year Gymnázium Jana Keplera in Prague. During high school I have participated in numerous competitions in maths and physics and for three months I got an opportunity to study with a scholarship at Winchester College in England. I also completed the CTM Online AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC courses. At the university I am now concentrating on aerospace engineering.
I spend my free time at university mainly with rowing, and during vacations I enjoy travelling and mountain hiking.
