SAT – American test of your fitness for university studies
SAT is a standardized test used for college admissions in the United States. It takes three hours to finish.
Possible scores on the SAT range from 400-1,600, combining test results from two 800-point sections: Mathematics and Critical Reading/Writing. Easier questions typically appear closer to the beginning of the section, while harder questions are toward the end in certain sections. This is not true for every section (the Critical Reading section is in chronological order) but it is the rule of thumb mainly for math, grammar, and the 19 sentence-completions in the reading section.
Students should first start preparing by taking PSATs when they reach 14–15 years of age and take the SAT the year before they graduate or in the fall of their graduation year. The SAT can be taken repeatedly.
The College Board announced that the SAT will become entirely digital beginning in 2023 for international students and added a June SAT date for international SAT calendar.
To register for your international SAT test, choose a date from the calendar and register directly with College Board.
